Established shortly after the Second World War, Domaine Marcel Deiss consists of 64 acres (26ha) of vines in the Bergheim area of Alsace, only 3km from Colmar. In 1998, after many years of organic viticulture, the vineyards were certified Biodynamic. This isn’t a great surprise given the intense hands-on approach in the vineyard. Jean Michel Deiss (grandson of the founder) and Oenologist Marie Helene Cristofaro believe in hand-crafted wines that vividly display a sense of place.
A blend of Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Gewurztraminer and Sylvaner. Pale yellow colour. Intense nose of lemon peel, white flowers, pineapple and peach. The palate is remarkably fresh and ripe.
