Diez-Caballero, Reserva Rioja, 2005.

Product Description

Diez Caballero is cellar producing traditional styles of Rioja (more savoury, less fruity) using primarily Tempranillo, based in the northernmost Rioja Alavesa region. This cellar has been able to unify modernity and tradition in their approach to wine making and grape growing. The wines are very refined, partly due to their fermentation in concrete tanks, comparing with other Rioja cellars which almost all use stainless steel.

Deep garnet colour. Earthy minerals, spicy black fruit and toast on the nose. Layers of complexity on the palate. Fine and silky. Oaked in French and American oak for additional complexity.
